Why Lucid IT?

Lucid IT is an Accredited Training Organisation (ATO) for PRINCE2® (Project Management) and MSP™ (Programme Management). Our experienced people are qualified to provide PRINCE2® and MSP™ education.  Lucid IT is also one of the few APMG Accredited Consulting Organisations in Australia that is able to offer consultancy services for Project and Programme Management.

Whether to go to a public course or arrange an in-house course is often a decision which is considered by organisations.  Public courses offer a rich mix of people from various organisations, while in-house courses have the advantage of being able to be scheduled to fit in with a project plan and accommodate staff availability and provide an opportunity to discuss internal project or programme challenges with their peers.

With Lucid IT, the PRINCE2® and MSP™ accredited courses are offered by Public Schedule and as in-house options. Courses can be delivered on your site, or at a venue arranged by Lucid IT.

Additionally Lucid IT can provide customised training sessions on request to cover specific aspects of PRINCE2® and MSP™ that may be of interest.

Accredited Courses – Public Schedule and In-House

 MSP™ Foundation Training

For those interested in Foundation level programme management training only, a 3 day course is offered with the Foundation accreditation exam at the end of day 3. This course covers the Transformational Flow, Governance Themes and Principles of MSP™.

This course is aimed at experienced Project Managers and those who need a basic accreditation in MSP™, as well as Programme Office, Programme Support staff and business change staff.

 MSP™ Practitioner Training

This course is offered over 5 days with the Foundation exam on the 3rd day, followed by 2 days of workshops, discussions and specific preparation for the Practitioner exam which is held on the afternoon of day 5. This is our standard MSP™ training offering and covers in depth the Transformational Flow, Governance Themes and Principles of MSP™ as well as the practical application of the framework.

This course is aimed at practicing Programme Managers, Business Change Managers, Project Managers looking to work in a programme, and those looking to move into the programme management using MSP™.  It is also useful for Programme Office staff working with MSP™.

As an in-house option it is possible to split this course into separate modules across a number of weeks.

 MSP™ Advanced Practitioner Training

This course is offered over 2 days using a series of focussed workshops, discussions and exam preparation based on the exam scenario, with the Advanced Practitioner exam on the 2nd day.  This course is aimed at Senior Programme Managers and Senior Responsible Owners who are looking for the highest level of accreditation.

 PRINCE2® Foundation Training

For those interested in Foundation level PRINCE2® training only, a 3 day course is offered with the Foundation exam at the end of day 3. This course covers the Processes, Components and Techniques of PRINCE2®.

This course is aimed at people working on projects, people initiating projects, Business Representatives, Team Leaders, those with an interest in project management or who are considering moving into that field. If you take the Foundation module on its own you may at a later date take the Practitioner module and complete the full program.

 PRINCE2® Practitioner Training

This course is offered over 5 days with the Foundation exam on the 3rd day, followed by 2 days of workshops, discussions and specific preparation for the Practitioner exam which is held on the afternoon of day 5. This is our standard PRINCE2® training offering and covers in depth the Processes, Components and Techniques of PRINCE2® as well as the practical application of the framework.

This course is aimed at practicing Project Managers or those looking to extend their accreditation, and those looking to move into the profession using PRINCE2®.  It is also useful for PMO staff working with PRINCE2®.

As an in-house option it is possible to split this course into separate modules across a number of weeks.

Non-Accredited Courses – In House Only

 MSP™ Executive Overview

This provides a brief overview of MSP™ aimed specifically at Senior Management, and covers the MSP™ Framework, Primary features, Benefits and Controls and Senior Management involvement in the programme.

 MSP™ Sponsoring Group Overview

This ½ day overview covers the Transformational Flow, Governance Themes and Principles of MSP™, with a particular focus on Programme Governance. This overview can also be tailored for Operational staff or Project Managers.

 PRINCE2® Lite

For those not interested in formal accreditation, an abridged PRINCE2® course can be offered in house for your organisation.  This is a 2 day course covering the key aspects of PRINCE2®, and is particularly aimed at project team members.

 PRINCE2® Executive Overview

This 2 hour overview of PRINCE2® is aimed specifically at Project Executives, and covers the PRINCE2® Framework, Primary Features and Controls as well as Senior Management involvement in the project lifecycle.

 PRINCE2® Overview

This ½ day overview covers the Components, Processes and Techniques of PRINCE2®. This overview can be tailored for Operational Staff or Project Managers.

 Project and Programme Support

This 1 day course provides a PRINCE2® and  MSP™ overview plus covers more specifically the role of Project and Programme Support.  Of particular use and interest to Project and Program Office staff.  

 Project and Programme Master Classes

The PRINCE2® and MSP™ courses offer an initial and accredited qualification in the project and programme management methods.  To further enhance this training, Lucid IT offers a number of just-in-time training courses aimed specifically at supporting Project and Programme Managers which can extend from 1 hour to 2 days in duration depending on the subject area, and cover the particular aspect of PRINCE2® or MSP™ in detail.
